summer lovin'

welcome to July, everyone, the month in which my grass will most likely officially become crispified beyond repair, and we (hopefully) will not. but let's not go there yet. let's go here instead:
seriously. where does this boy come from? love him to pieces, as my mom would say.

still true. love him to pieces. just wish I could figure out the compulsion to sleep in his shoes and his hat. is it the same thing that drove an old friend of mine to always (and I mean always) wear a pair of shoes in which he could play frisbee at the drop of a hat?

piles of corn on the cob and fresh cherries from one of those lovely roadside stands for dinner. (SO reminds me of summer and mis padres.) and this girl: MOM. guess what I have in my mouth? something that I can eat... como una... beaver.

Where did you find the corn and cherry stand? Just yesterday I was calling my neighbors to see if they knew of one nearby - or of any for that matter.

Cutest kids. I love your blog. Such witty, funny writing.

My mouth is watering!!! As always, you're leading me to fresh ideas. Why haven't I thought of these goods yet???

jamie - they're all over. 9th and 9th (usually by great harvest), 21st S and 13th E (behind the car wash), 13th S and 21st E (by the top stop). I'm not sure if it was a good deal or not, but it was worth it!

like a beaver, she is the best. it was so fun to be with them and you today, un-rushed. rom is turning out to have a lot more spunk than it seems we originally thought, compared to Laine.

Sometimes I like to sleep in my full outfits too. I think it is normal!

I LOVE Romney. The kid is such a hoot. I'm with him - it's always good to be prepared so you don't miss out on the next adventure. And I've got to find me some of that corn too!
