me: oh. are you giving them a good drink? (despite being less than 15 ft away from him, I was doing something else and wasn't actually watching him. you know, with my eyes.)
romney: uh...yes.
me: (you know how sometimes you can actually see the slow dawning of understanding cross someone's face? if you'd been looking at me, you'd have seen it. the hose was nowhere near romney. hmmm. and THEN I turned to look at him. I'm quick, see?) rom? did you just water the plants with your bubbles?
romney: yep!
incidentally, if you ask romney what his job is, he'll tell you it's watering the flowers. he also excels at watering himself, his sister, the sidewalk, and the forbidden mudhole.

leave it to the brother to trap his sister in a tomatoe cage and then proceed to water her. LOVE IT!
Last week playgroup was at my house, and as we were all playing in the back yard big W decided to water the tree...and he didn't have the hose...or bubbles...I'll let you figure out the rest!
Be glad he was "watering" it with bubbles--boys tend to like watering the great outdoors (even backyards) another way.
You are so funny- I love the "I'm quick, see?" part. That's how I feel every day. I'm always just kind of half paying attention and then later I think, "how did I not see that coming?" Ah parenting...good times.
What a nice helper you have. Your kids are so cute. I loved having time to chat it up with you and Jim at the BBQ. We love you guys so much and think you're as classy as they come. Glad we're family now!
love it, but love your writing about it more!
I'm glad I stubbled upon you on Janie's page. I love the comments your little ones make. They are simply adorable. And I love that Romney's wearing his little hat. Last I saw him, he wouldn't do anything without it.
