in case you're wondering, he is wearing his "running shoes" as he likes to call them, and socks as well. why they needed to go into the bath along with everything else, I may never know, but it gave me a good laugh as I was taking them off and literally dumping water out of them.
I should have been tipped off when he came in and said, "oh, man! My shirt is all wet!" in all honesty, I knew he was in there, and I knew he was trying (again) to get some of his toy boats that were never meant to float to float. AND I was listening - I could hear him talking and playing, so I knew he wasn't drowning. I just didn't expect he'd get in fully clothed.
is this the tame beginning to a crazy life with a boy? at the grocery store today he put 5 bite marks all the way up and down a banana with the skin on and also through the top of the hot dog package AND he mangled a package of hot dog buns beyond recognition. (the nice clerk didn't even make me pay for them. she has a boy too.)

I love it! I had a high school roommate do almost that exact thing in the bath tub... and invite me to join her.
And if you're going to bite into anything at the grocery store, why the hot dogs and banana? Why not the chocolate candy bar?
What? Why would there be a chocolate candy bar in the cart? You don't let your kids eat that stuff do you?
What kind of mother are you anyway?
If I want to get anything done I purposely put my kids in the tub. It's my saving grace. Trapped in one place, occupied, and like you, I figure noise says it all.
Cute!
Is this a boy we are talking about or a puppy?
hmmm. yes. very insightful. we've pulled a page out of the kingfish's book, who always responded to our requests as kids for a puppy by telling us that we had a puppy and his name was David. it was true then, and obviously true with this little character also. boy and puppy.
i love that picture of him! porter loved it too, and informed me that "we don't have that shirt, and we need to get it at the store!"
at least you had an excuse for him being in the tub with no adult supervision...like making dinner! my excuse: i'm laying down!!!
he asked me last week if he could put on his swimsuit when it was time for a bath. he sure loves that nemo suit and those running shoes. that picture is sooo cute. I don't think your life is going to be too crazy with Romney, he is too sweet.
I'm so glad you have a boy!
I love boys! They are so funny!
Thank you for your "real mom" post.
Amen to the "real mom" post. I'm new at this and I keep thinking "how does everone else seem to get everything done?". And I only have ONE kid!
So funny! I love that he was fully clothed!
